Our Patron:
Jessica Phuang QSM

We are pleased to announce Ms. Jessica Phuang, New Zealand Police’s first Ethnic Responsiveness Manager, as the new patron of the New Zealand-Asia Association (NZAA), succeeding the late Rt Rev Sir Paul Reeves.

Jessica brings extensive experience in engaging ethnic communities to collaborate with the New Zealand Police, ensuring safety and well-being. She has supported NZAA Inc. and its intercultural project,

Viva Eclectika, for nearly three decades.

Joining the NZ Police in 2003 as an Asian Liaison Officer, Jessica initiated the country's first Ethnic Advisory Board, amplifying ethnic voices. Her efforts earned her the Queen’s Service Medal in 2008 and numerous accolades, which include the Commissioner’s Commendation 2015, and the ANZ Migrant Award 2017.
